Israel arrested Palestinian funds


TEL AVIV - Israel acting withhold appropriated funds in the West Bank until March next year to repay the debt to the utility companies in the area inhabited by Palestinians.

Palestinian senior official, Yasser Abed Rabbo, said Israel's actions as brutal and extreme.


"This is an attempt to put pressure on the Palestinians to move from the West Bank. Israel continued deprive the Palestinian people, "he said.


Earlier, Israeli Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman said Israel allocated about U.S. $ 100juta (RM300 million) each month to pay the Palestinian Authority and water facilities in the West Bank.

Local media reported that Israel committed was intentional pressure after Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas vowed to act if Israel ahead with plans to build 3,000 units of new housing illegal Jewish settlers in east Jerusalem.

He, however, does not explain the action to be taken.

Meanwhile, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to continue settlement persisted in urging the authorities to expedite the construction work.
